Kingman, AZ to Albuquerque

When we left Kingman this morning approximately 20 motorcycles rode to Flagstaff, AZ to meet up with the memorial semi (photo attached). After a photo op with the memorial semi, we road on to Gallup, NM where we were met by our ride host, Cyber. More photo ops with the semi and a very fast ride of 80 miles to the Route 66 Casino (imagine 70-80 miles an hour in tight formation with truck/passenger car traffic whizzing by). At the casino we met more motorcyclists, our police escort and the memorial semi. From the casino, which is approximately 20 miles from the Fraternal Order of Police building in Albuequerque we were escorted by a bunch of City Police and Highway Patrol. For those of you who have been on the Ride for Kids....this was oh, so much more. There were approximately 30 motorcycles, the host in his truck, and the semi. For 20 miles the law enforcement officers SHUT DOWN I40 and I25 east/north bound as we rode through. One of the photos below shows you the empty highway. This was awesome and, quite frankly the best way to travel in Albuequerque! At the FOP we were treated to a hamburger dinner and a chance to visit. It has been a great day of riding. The weather was great, in the 70s. We did come across some rain, but nothing too bad for too long. (Bob Jordan might say otherwise, he stopped to put his GPS in a safe dry place.Sorry if this is scrambled....TIRED and have to be out of the room at 4:15 a.m. tomorrow to participate in another memorial event.
